I've gone for the S2, and you know what? I think I'll just stick it up for sale. It's not a patch on my old E72 for ease of use. Too many gimmicks, no battery life (almost killed it just getting it set up and playing!) and a keypad set up that's too small - even the E72 was better in that respect.
Big mistake.

Me and the other half both have the same phone, on the same network, however hers seems to very regularly get a better signal on WiFi and network (to the stage I have none). I haven't dropped or damaged my phone in anyway, just wondered what my best course of action would be

Its because yours is running loads of updates in the background, and hers isn't. Close all applications and tasks (there's an app for that), then compare the 2 phones.

iPad 3 is reported to be coming out around April so doubt the phone will too. Few month later maybe..
HTC will no doubt have something coming out. They always do! Samsung Galaxy SIII is probably the phone to go for, rumoured for April I believe
