After their recent demolition of the Bulls, and Salfords most recent history, I was expecting a comfortable win for Fax. I can only assume they were saving themselves for some future match.

Eddie forgot to mention that we were without our roofers and labourers who play on the wings and at scrum half...

Great credit to Fax today - Marshall seems a good lad and a good coach - some good offloading throughout - good pack too & wish you well for the future.

I thought we played very well. They had two break away trys from our mistakes. So, I don't think we were showen up. One side reffing again (I don't like to slag officials but this was due) off side, laying on,,,,,,,

you were all there watching at the shay. We are a good team. Bring on Leigh !

I couldn't make it today, due to working, but what's happened with our defence? We were superb against Widnes but have slipped up badly since. If we can sort it out for next week I am sure we can get our first win in these qualifiers. Magic Rock Tap, Ringmaster 3.9 % Mmm!

For the most part we defended well. Conceded some long range tries when coughing up the ball on the sixth tackle and a couple of sloppy tries.



It was closer than the score suggests, the main difference was the lack of pace in the backs we have and lack of spark at half back. Certainly our front row won the battle, Mitch and Adam were outstanding

Spot on. We lost the game today, but we were in no way out-classed. Pace on the wings was our major downfall.



Credit to Salford, they did what they needed to do.

A couple of odd interpretations of "holding down" (Adam's in particular), but tbh, the ref was Ok. I was calling things out at the game like any biased fan would, but there were quite a few blatant forward passes from Fax that went unpunished......

I certainly hope that Johnstone is back for next week and also get players back into their natural positions. Up The Fax!

We matched the Reds in a few departments today and I thought our pack went well but got punished on a couple of wrong option plays and soft tries.



Martin, Eccleston and Adam Robbo who came in did their best but looked off the pace for this sort of game.

Thought we more than matched them up front but as is the usual case we were outdone by pace, there is no substitute for this I'm afraid and we didn't have it today. Centre on the wing meant not being used to the positional play cost us 1 if not 2 tries, poor last tackle options another 2.

IMO the game was far closer than the result indicates but that is probably where the extra SL money makes a difference.

Oh and I thought Cobb was very poor but will watch the game back to confirm either way.

If a try is not given and it's a double move,net is that not a penalty?

If the ball comes loose forward in a tackle is that not either a knock on or strip, not ' have it back lad and carry on'?
