Signed for Batley from what I've heard. Same money but better win/lose pay.



Also heard that Haggerty has also gone but not sure where.



All to do with the 10% pay cut.



Not good

I heard Haggerty was work related rather than pay related. Leaves us a bit short as no more players will be brought in but gives some of the young lads a chance to step up and probably also makes dual reg a must.



Shame about Manning and cant really blame him as he was with Tangata our best performer last season and has been consistent for years. Unfortunately the players and coaches let the club down last season with a good number of below average performances and we will feel the effects of that for a good few seasons unless we can spring a surprise or two.

No one is bigger than the club etc, but I fear we are making a serious mistake in not keeping Manning (if it turns out he has gone). His contributions over the last 2 years especially, have been invaluable and it's obvious to all we are a far weaker team when he is missing!

Batley have just announced on twitter that Dane has signed a 2 year deal with them

What a joke. You know times are bad when we are losing our best players to batley. Thanks for all you've done for the club Dane, our most consistent player for a number of years, you will be missed.

Manning was a Batley player long before he came to you. "Little ol' Batley" doesn't wash any more ... Batley > Halifax I'm afraid.

Can't blame him. Gonna be a long old slog next season. Let's hope rack up enough points to dodge League 1. That would be a success

Sad but not a surprise. All the best Dane. I dont really understand Batleys strategy here as they do not hve the players or resources to go FT, but are spending alot on players wages etc. I hope they dont end up like us, Fev and Sheffield etc that are paying for some poor management and over expectation in the past. Fax done right thing cutting cloth as sadly we do not have the money to keep the best players and no point burning money on them. It now opens the door for somebody else. Next year i think we was going to struggle for top 4 anyway. Realistically a top 8 place will be good considering where we are.

Bollocks, will be missed. Good luck to him as it's a short career and thanks for the good times.

What makes you think Batley are splashing the cash? What part of our chairmans 20 season reign makes you think him frivolous? Dane loves Batley, he only left for Fax as he was sold the superleage dream. That aint happening now. Matt Diskin earmarked Dane as a 2018 signing when en his contract ends. It's only your financial difficulties that has alowed him a way out sooner than expected. Were not going sht or bust were just not bust. We now have the best pack in the comp bar none.

And our Board are silent again.

When communication stops it's the first sign of trouble at'mill. Terrible to see best player from last 4 years ago. Difficult not to feel despondent - realistically think next year is mid-table position at best. Just can't see us being anywhere near Hull KR, London, Bulls, Fev, Batley and Toulouse.
