For long term success, Fax needs to get a pay-off to leave the Shay and get a deal done with the Council for long term financing & long term lease for a new ground at Savile Park. Just need a stand with 2,000 seats & facilities & a bit of terracing to start with. Stay part-time and hit middle 8s every year and it's doable.

Who finances it? The council cant run the ground they have so you wouldnt trust them to build another one.

Needs hard work. But billions now available via National Infrastructure Fund. Council finances it by getting 50% grant from the Fund and 50% from the Fund on 100 year mortgage. Then Fax take 25 year lease starting at £25k a year. It is doable. Look at other local authorities.

The big problem with that is the covenant preventing any building on Savile Park.

Agreed. A good lawyer can easily overcome any covenant issues, particularly where both central and local government are involved in a potential development that would benefit the wider community.

At least we wouldn't have to pay 20 quid to watch fax at savile park.
