If you knew your Geography, you'd no that Widnes isn't in Liverpool, or Merseyside for that matter. But I forgot Halifax is just a little rugby team on the outskirts of Bradford

At least we have our own postcode, not a suburb of another postcode (WA = Warrington)

This is something I don't really understand. Apparently the RFL told SOC that Widnes needed to work on their youth structures, but was there really a problem with the Widnes academy at the time?



Seems to me that SOC took over just a few months after the RFL had decided who the 14 teams would be, but not before going through a nonsense process to try and justify it, and was told to just hang on for a few years.
