Thinking back to what happened at Wakefield.....



They went into administration, a money man (!) got them on the cheap and they kept their place and licence so why should Bradford be any different? They keep saying theres people willing to put money in but not the amount needed to clear the debt and move on so the cheap option would be to do a 'Wakey'.



If Fax do get offered the chance, would it be the right thing for the club at this stage? Players already signed up for next year who want part time rugby, availabilty of quality fulltime players, etc.



If it comes off then good luck to you.

Don't get me wrong I'd love to see us at the top level once more but only when we're ready in all departments and not getting thrashed every week. Are we ready for SL? Not at all.

With the licence system in place you have to have real ' strength in depth ' both financially and within your fan base,



You need a long term commitment financially, 5/6 years , essentially a couple of million to keep your spending up near a max SC spend



Its no good having your fan base dropping back down to the bare couple of thousand when things arent going to plan for the 1 st 2/3 years



Its a hard call, but just like a shiny new stadium isnt the ' golden ticket ' for SL entry, SL itself isnt the answer to inadequate finance, player attraction and a fair weather support

Posting mostly on the VT, my old ' hunting ground ' not contributing to the Leigh board or watching, I'm hoping the new Chairperson of the RFL will be on the phone to offer me the new ' Director of Championship ' position when he/she is appointed, 60 K a year salary and a million budget and I'd think about it

Well, as it apears we are about to replace the Dulls in Super League

we will need a new Chief Exec `so if the RFL don`t come knocking you could always apply for the post.

We're not ready for SL YET, but if we keep building as we are doing and can attract more sponsors/fans whie continuing on the pitch we might be in afew years.



Also with The Bulls struggling and Hudds putting up the season tickets next year there might well be afew floating 'fans' we can attract down the Shay.

I heard that a freak gust of wind ripped through red hall, disturbing all the papers from the licence applications. Nigel hurriedly gathered the papers together while holding his breath, but with his eyes already streaming put Bradford’s financial report in the Halifax folder and Halifax’s financial report in Bradford’s. He has apologised and promised to lay off the greens so this sort of thing never happens again.

Well if a team is just plonked in the I am finished with this sport. This is a chance to promote the best team at the end of the season if Bradford are getting the boot
