David and his family came to the Sheffield game yesterday as guests of the Club. We were really pleased that he was able to come, but even now some 6/7 months after the Grand Final incident, he is still only able to get about by way of a wheelchair.



The reception he received at half time was magnificent from all the fans at the game and he was really touched that there was even a chant for him, as indeed were we.



He still has a lot of time yet on his road to recovery and it's disappointing that his attackers still remain at large. Even now anyone with any information ought to contact the Chesire police



Nonetheless a really big thank to everyone for his reception yesterday, I know it cheered him up no end

I'd like to say thanks to everyone involved at the club, players and staff, for getting Dave and his family to the game yesterday. It was very emotional to see him. The applause, whistling and chanting were awesome. Well done to all.

I have known Dave & his parents for many years and great work from the club in looking after Dave and his parents yesterday. Such little things can make a big difference and hope it can push Dave to hopefully not be in a Wheelchair the rest of his life.

Indeed a fantastic reception from all inside the ground, including the Sheffield fans. Lets hope the boys kick on now and win some more matches for him!

great to see is that, it isnt just Halifax fans that wish him a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear that Dave made the game yesterday, it is with great to hear that one of our own (of the RL family) has returned to the fold. I hope one day that i have the pleasure of shaking the hand of this brave man.

Was a bit choked yesterday as whilst it was great to see Dave down the Shay, it was sad to see how the guy has been put in a wheelchair through no fault of his own, but hey he was there and did the half time draw, you did not pick mine though Dave

By all accounts Dave is just an ordinary bloke that enjoys supporting his team.
