Well that was much better than most of us expected a poor start which made us think it was going to be a long afternoon but the lads dug in and got their noses in front only to make some silly decisions with the ball that cost us, Rob had a bit of a nightmare I hope he makes up for it next week at Batley! Good atmosphere the fax fans were pretty vocal despite the intimidation of the Fev lot next to us, still not sure that was a good idea. Better crowd than I expected too so all in all came away feeling much more positive about our season but realistic to know we still have some weaknesses like fullback and half back.

Really proud of the lads yesterday, they all gave 100% and that's what really matters to me. OK the ref got a few calls wrong but that happens, you win some and you lose some. We lost Fluff and BK but we never gave in and made a few mistakes on the way. I think we will be alright this season if that same attitude continues.

Robin. This will be typical of a lot of the games this season, across the division it's the toughest for years.It will be no surprise for us to be involved in several close games and we may lose a few but it won't be because of lack of commitment from any one at the club.

There are a lot of strong sides who are all wanting to win, supporters, players directors of every club want to win.

quite well at the moment thanks Charlie, hope you are too. inconsistent decisions can destroy a game, fax had one sinbinned but nobody even binned after that.

Referees decisions do affect games. I'm not sure how much jimmy got wrong yesterday or how much if at all, he affected the result.

I go back to last season at our gaff. Both sides encroaching on the ten most of the second half. The ref picked a game changing decision to pull fev for offside when both teams had previously been taking the pizz.

Brown stuff happens.

Yesterday was a bloody cracking advert for rugby at our level with all 3 results possible until the last few seconds.

At 14-0 I was relaxed and in for an avalanche.

Fax came back and had a reight dig...

The feight was owt n nowt..... its rugby.... sometimes it gets a little frisky!

Fair enough assessment for me.How we went in at only 16-10 is beyond me.We looked unfit,slow,no attacking ideas,falling off tackles etc but second half was classic entertainment which in the end we could have won.

think he would have gone to video ref for 2nd fev try if SL. looked as if lost control on grounding. await video. great advert for the game though.

Looked a try to me,i was bang in line.

Yeah we said the ball popped out but I would expect him to ground it simultaneous after that. Although I cant remember in the rules if that is classed as a knock or not.

Has to be daylight for a knock on. IMO there wasn't..all irrelevant now anyway.
