| I think it could be news that Halifax (like Fev and more recently Leigh) will be launching a “destination Super league” promotion soon.

| There is no truth in the rumour of a Super League place for 2012. Our focus is on the Championship and the Northern Rail Cup.
Adam Robinson re-signing is our news for today. One year extension on an excellent player.

| Blimey, saw Luke's tweet yesterday but I didn't realise it had triggered all of these rumours!
Anyway, at the moment I don't want us anywhere near Super League. One, we're not ready and we need time to really organise everything and prepare, secondly I blooming like this division and like others have said we don't want to get smashed week in week out like Widnes. However, whatever happens I'll still be supporting the club! Up the Fax!

| Quote Rotherham Fev Fan="Rotherham Fev Fan"Whether Luke acted independently or not Martin, Fax certainly got their profile raised albeit for a short period of time. It has people discussing the merits of Fax to SL and promoting Fax positively.
Fair play for me - even if he was just bug-gerin about!'"
HA HA HA, just like Cas have raised their own profile this week by falling out with their moneybags sponsor, rejecting a top players transfer request ( who's on a 5 year contract ) dropping their blue riband player for last weekend's game, tapping up one of the Championship's best forwards & upsetting the applecart.
Yep, marketing has no boundaries......
There is no honour in the game anymore it's an absolute shambles.

| It's a tough one. But people saying we need a backer... that is precisely what is wrong with Super League. No clubs are living within their means and all are relying on one man to fund them. If the RFL want to put us in we'll go in, but i would be quite happy if the club continued to work on the same business philosophy that is currently serving us well and keep building up the profits that will inevitably come with that. Sure we might get a few hammerings but ultimately in order to get ourselves ready for super league i think we need to be in there and just suck it up and take a few beatings for a couple of years.

| Quote ovo4fev="ovo4fev"Well if a team is just plonked in the I am finished with this sport. This is a chance to promote the best team at the end of the season if Bradford are getting the boot'"
Would you think the same if it was Fev who faced that scenario? For me I dont want really Fax to go in to SL as things currently stand as SL is a joke competition on and off the field thats badly run. I dont think Fax would benefit much from being there the way things are in SL and at Halifax. Least we stand a chance of making profit and a good chance of winning silverware. SL is not the golden dream and for me would probably ruin Fax due to the way SL is run.
Quote ovo4fevAnyway, seems it was Luke Ambler messing about on Twitter yesterday. You would think an employee would have more sense in this week of all weeks'"
We often moan that our game and clubs are not given enough exposure. I feel Luke was very clever as he is still a Leeds player and obviously had heard Jamie Peacock would retire. He also knew Adam Robinson had signed an extention to his contract. He knew the bulls was going in to Administration this week.He used a bit of poetic licence on Twitter and got people talking about the game and Halifax far more than ever. I doubt Halifax have had so much exposure since the licence farce/procedure last year. The talk got beyond the usual Rugby League circles as well. Luke advertized and promoted Halifax and it cost the club not one cent. I think thats excellent thinking and I like to see people who think outside the box.

As most regular readers will know, I am not the brightest of people, so it would be helpful to me if someone could explain how we turn a turnover which gave us a profit of £20,000 last season (well done to the board) into a turnover that gives us a profit in Super League. I read that Bradford =#0000FFNorthern's wage bill is £200.000 a month.
I said Northern on purpose because I heard that when they are forgiven and only given a 4 point reduction, part of the deal is that they return to their old name. The Bulls mascot will change to an old bloke in a flat cap, a scarf and a fag in his mouth releasing pigeons at half time.
