Well I understand Mr Jaggers posts cos I was brought up in Boughey St in Leigh.



Have read all the posts on this thread and have been a Leigh fan since 1956.



My opinion is Leigh will be in Superleague 2017 and with their prize money this season if Fax don't go full time they have no ambition.

Or maybe Fax realise the importance of building a solid foundation without being able to call upon a rich backer. It's a sensible approach rather than a lack of ambition. We certainly don't want to end up like Leigh 3 years ago - running to the RFL with cap in hand.

With respect I think the decision to stay part next season shows how much ambition our board and coaching staff have.

We are preparing the foundations to ensure when we do go full time we will be able to sustain a push forward.

Mr Steele and Richard Marshall have gone to great lengths to explain the decision.

The question is though do we need to go full time to compete with Bradford and Leigh? Given we finished the season as arguably the best team in the Championship and 2nd best championship team in the qualifiers I would say it probably wont make that much difference. We were visibly fitter than both Leigh and Bradford who were both full time and you have to ask if that will change next season?



The only real question is do we need to go full time to compete with the SL teams which I would say yes we do but lets get next season out of the way, lets compete for top spot and get in the top 4 again and then look to go full time the season following the one coming up.
