The touch judges do a very important job . They run up and down the side of the pitch for 80 minutes checking the condition of the white line . They are fully focussed on making sure it hasn't been smudged or broken .
And that Mickey is why they rarely see , or have any involvement , in any of the happenings on the pitch .
