In securing the Bulls future how can the RFL be impartial at the next round of licence applications?



If it is us or Wakefield who go next time i hope they seek legal advice...it would be fun seeing Wood & Lewis in court.

I too fear they have left themselves open to any team challenging the rfl if booted out.

They interviewed a guy from the RFL this morning (John Ledger...I think) on BBC Radio Radio Leeds around 7.00 am. As a representative of the RFL he was typically vague. However, the implied that the RFL had bought into the Bradford Bulls lease on Odsal to help them stop 'Predatory approaches' for the ground!!



The interviewer asked, 'in these tough economical times was the council looking to sell the ground, and hence potentially leaving the Bulls homeless?'. The RFL man responded by saying that NO, the council couldn't because the lease is owned by the Bradford bulls, and only the Bulls could sell the lease. It was renewed by them from the council in 2004 (for about 100 years or so).



In part of the discussion they also clarified that the Bulls were NOT in a position where they would be forced to sell for survival etc and that in many ways, with or without this deal, it is life as normal for the Bulls.



So what's all the BS about the 'Predatory Approaches'! If the Bulls are the only ones who could sell the lease on, it shouldn't make a difference if who shows and interest in the ground 'Predatory' or not.



It just sounds like a load of typical RFL BS to me and there is another agenda somewhere!

One thing for sure, we all know that the RFL are very capable of showing double standards. So whether they develop Odsal or not to the required SL standards, will have not set a precedence for the standard which other clubs will be forced to meet.
