| Quote sally cinnamon="sally cinnamon"I have a bad feeling about this for Cas.
I can see this being brought up by angry Cas fans later on in the season or next season as "the first example of Millward ruining things".
Scully's autobiography said some revealing things about Millward, that despite their success he only had about half the dressing room on his side. Scully had mentioned to him several times that he didn't like the way Millward bullied younger players but nothing was done about it.
The Cas tradition has usually been hard work and low ego and guys like Stuart Raper and Terry Matterson built that culture but with Millward it is more a case of Millward the media personality creating drama and cultivating his own image. Yes he won a lot of trophies with Saints riding on the back of a world class team but at Wigan he was massively exposed and took the club backwards.
A lot of Cas fans will give him a chance early on which is fair enough but I predict before the end of this season and certainly before the end of next season there will be a large Millward Out movement amongst Cas fans and anger at the disruption he is causing. Behaviour like this with Mathers is not out of character with Millward and he just does not fit Cas IMO.'"
This post is spot on. Millward will ruin cas.

Good old Fully, RW's Minister of Information, putting a relentlessly positive spin on everything.
Do you not think that RM's own tweets about his situation at Cas might have had something to do with it? He was very public about being told not to train with his mates and tweeted quite openly for a couple of weeks about his increasingly difficult situation. I don't approve of it particularly, but it was quite revealing.
I was stood near Millward when Mathers scored one past your lot by the way - he had a face like a blistered pi55pot; wish I could have got a picture.

You know, you really are starting to get annoying. It's bordering on harassment.
How is that putting a positive spin on anything? I've not defended Cas nor have I defended Millward. I did say there is two sides to every argument and rather than believing what one person says, I'd listen to both sides.
He wasn't first choice full-back, fact. Wakefield did come sniffing, fact, hence why he's currently in your side. I didn't mention what happened around the situation between those two points as I don't know, nor do you for that matter. The only people that truly know are RM and IM.
Either you grow up or please just stop posting on this forum. You're ruining the proper discussion.

Dont know many coaches that do smile when a try is scored against them? And in reference to your post earlier, on what grounds would RM have been able to take Castleford to a tribunal(constructive dismissal)?
He was still getting paid wasn't he? I wish my employer would pay me and tell me not to turn up to work

That was my point really - I said I didn't particularly approve of him playing out his grievances in the media and the comment about a tribunal was intended to highlight that he wouldn't actually have a case.

What makes you think we come sniffing? I wasn’t aware that was factual. From following events on twitter and what was said in the media all we know is Millward simply didn’t want him in his team or even training for what ever reason. This was made clear to his agent who touted him around, we only became interested when we realised you was that desperate to off load that your still paying half his wages. So in reality he wasn’t a player that we were that desperate to sign but the deal on the table was to good to turn down.

You said quote.......... "Having said that, I'm not a terrific fan of these disputes being played out in the media; if he wants to take action against Cas for constructive dismissal, perhaps he should have a word with Comrade Wilkin?"
Not how I read your bit regards taking action against Cas, you suggest that he doesn't talk to the media and to instead involve a Union? No one else mentioned ''dismissal but yourself. He wasnt dismissed he was told he didnt figure in the new coaches plans.

| I feel sorry for Mathers.
The same thing happened to Newton when basil arrived at Wigan, after everything he had done for our club.
There were countless other rumours about how the players were treated. I hope he has adapted his style for Cas, but i fear he probably hasn't.
Bad times for cas.

It was a joke, illustrating the fact that he's spoken to a journalist instead of his union, which makes it plainly obvious that he knows doesn't have a case against Cas, other than a gripe about the way he perceives he was treated.
I've said many times in the past that I think it's a mistake to take a players description of these kind of situations as gospel - there are two sides to every story and in these days of greedy agents, usually three; all parties should, in my view, handle their disputes privately and not speak about them in the media.

Can i just add that slating a player in a public forum should also not be the 'done thing' until all the fact's are known. Otherwise i agree 100%.
