It looks like Mildred has already started spending the money with Shenton already signed up and Webster rumoured to be on his way there.

I think any money Basil is spending is as a result of having most of our big earners off the wage bill at the end of the season. I'm sure big clubs are sniffing round and everybody has their price but I would be surprised if Chase went.

I agree mdean, it's a classic Wigan manoeuvre playing it out in the press! Next thing from them will be, "we don't know where this rumour has come from but we will always look at quality players should they become available".

I would really hate Chase if he went, Cas brought him over here as a nobody and turned him into the Man of Steel, he would be betraying us if he left.
