And thats got you where exactly? Its not worth anything to get you a move to a new ground, you've lost a million quid in three years and now you are going to have to pay to develop it, WOOHOO!!!
For Christ's sake man; give your head a shake.
Grasp the future, and stop trying to cling to hollow (well vacuous) victories from the past!!!
Look at the successful clubs, how many actually own their grounds (or silver to you)?

| Quote smoking monkey="smoking monkey"Point taken but can you honestly say that those two clubs were more deserving of a franchise than Cas because they had a better stadium.'"
Well, we do struggle against Fev, but we can beat Barrow :O)
Franchising has killed the game below SL, ask any Championship supporter. Leigh are a club run within their means now, unlike quite a few SL clubs. I hate to think what would happen if SKY ever pulled the plug on SL clubs.
As for Cas, you will just be playing a run of friendly games again because you are never going to win anything, not even a Challenge Cup game against a Championship club. At least we have a chance for 2 Mickey Mouse cups.
RL is cr4p now, couldn't give a t0$$ about it.

How about approaching Aldi to build a bigger store? they're profits are soaring and they're building new stores throughout the UK, it's worth a shot if Tesco are no longer interested
Quote Junglefever="Gronk!"If I were in charge:
[uPhase 1:[/u
Demolish Railway end, move it back further onto the land behind it the club owns, extend the pitch to be full length, build a cheap all seater stand with a roof & concourse there.
[uPhase 2:[/u
Extend the Princess Street stand down towards the new Railway end so it runs the full length of the pitch (with a longer pitch it would stop at about the 10m line), put a new roof on it to freshen it up a bit.
[uPhase 3:[/u
Re-roof the WRE, add more bars into it.
[uPhase 4:[/u
Move the main stand back towards the turnstiles and make the 2 standing parts at either side of it into part of the seating area, add all the cooperate facilities etc into it. Concourse underneath it, obviously.
This would be achieved over a period of time with the aid of grants & sponsors.'"
How about turning the ground 90 degrees same as what Fev are doing? There is more than enough land, although this may cost the same as all the existing would need to be knocked down.
Quote Junglefever="kinleycat"you've lost a million quid in three years'"
As far as I can see so has every other club in the league - we announced losses of nearly 300k a year, which is less than most of the SL clubs. So over a 3 year period I would imagine that the rest have lost around that much as well??

| We lost 125 grand last year. Hull FC lost 500 grand. Don't know what Wakey's figures are but i'm certain Glover is putting a lot in with the hope of getting it back over time. The £125 season ticket offer is great at Wakey but is done for a purpose - to get fans on board for the long term and then put ST prices up to the realistic norm once they are staying.

I'm not sure what losses the other SL clubs have made except the Bulls (obviously).

As far as I seem to remember when all clubs make finance announcements for the year there are always losses at each club

| A lot of cas fans are getting excited at the thought of grand redevelopments, but what exactly is meant by redevelopment? I’m guessing it’s a lick of paint here and there and new toilet block maybe. The money just isn’t there to redevelop on any grand scale that’s a fact.
On the other hand, I’m sure it can be tarted up to be “fit for purpose” relatively cheaply. The ground requirements were always going to be relaxed after the Bradford fiasco. It begs the question, why wasn’t this always the case, instead of having clubs trying to overextend themselves getting shiny new grounds?

I think you may be right, although if we get an investor then things may change

| we could always put £500 of corrugated sheeting on a few bits of steel at the Railway end, we will be just like Wakefield then. Everybody laughed at Fev when they bought the Scarborough Stand, dont think we are laughing now. Well done Fev.

| Think a nice new main stand with revenue generating suites and non matchday stuff would make the rest of the ground look suddenly better. The old place would then be of similar standard to Headingley, just smaller.

Touche - but if you're talking about justifying a license on playing performance have Leigh even come close to winning/competing a GF since P&R was abandoned?
Wouldn't argue with anything else you say, RL needs to somehow re-invent itself before disenchantment and disinterest become irreversible then terminal.
