Commercial success is making money relative to your facilities, the fact Cas pull in money that exceeds the so called "top" teams shows that the Castleford commercial department is far above anyone elses.

Cas [udo[/u meet the minimum criteria to be considered otherwise they wouldn't have been awarded a franchise at the last time of asking or been promoted from NL1 in 2005 and 2007.



As has been noted elsewhere, the RFL select the best 13 bids of the 15 that have been made. The only criteria that Halifax are ahead of Cas in is the stadium and thats hardly by a great deal, Cas win hands down in every other aspect.

Because they could get used to the application process, and could act on the feedback given to them by the RFL - giving them areas to focus on over the next three years before they apply again.



Steve O'Connor has been very vocal in explaining that the focus Widnes have put into youth development has been a direct result of RFL feedback from the last application process.

Are you being serious ? , any club can request at any time to speak to the RFL and ask exactly what they need to improve on to stand a better chance at the next round of licence applications , it doesn't come under the official state secrets act
