I think we could replace Paul Jackson & Ryan Hudson with two forwards from the U20s (Fleming & Martin) and use Danny Orr as back up to Clark / Milner at 9.

Tansey can't.

Tansey's best position is 18th man.

| Guess we have to give Tansey a chance, but with so much previous at other clubs i think we will get our fingers burnt on this signing.

| At least he is only on a 1 year contract. He will have to impress because this will be his last chance at Super League. He will have to play well to earn a longer contract at Cas or to put himself in the shop window. If he doesn't, he will be out on his ear at the the end of the season.
I think if he knuckles down, he could do ok for us.

| Quote Hatfield tiger="Hatfield tiger"sacked by his clubs:
Leeds - left to go to Sydney (who would not go)
Sydney - Left after playing 8 games to return to HUll
Hull - sacked for the above reasons
Batley - Left - topotion in contract to join a super league club
Crusaders - Went bust
York - currently in first team
I assumed the phrased sacked of by his clubs refers to the plural - care to expand or prehaps give him a chance to develope the Talent which Sydney Roosters & Hull clearly saw in'"
It was Dewsbury he played for, not Batley.
He was in two title-winning Leeds squads (even if he didn't play in the grand final).
And he played 7 successive games under Brad Fittler at the Roosters in 2009 so must have some talent !
He's 25 and must realise its now or never so how about giving the kid a chance ?

| I don't think Cas have any choice but to try to recruit some rough diamonds or unknowns with potential (Chase probably fit both these categories when he was signed). We can't spend to the salary cap and we aren't a club that internationals are fighting to come to. If he's prepared to knuckle down and give his all for the shirt he deserves our support.

| Mixed feelings on this one, certainly has some talent but has seemed intent on wasting it in the past, but i cant imagine he will cost much and its only a one year deal so may well be worth the risk, when he puts on black and amber he will have my support.

As I've said to some mates, I think he is an improvement on Ryan McGoldrick at a fraction of the cost. Win-win for Cas as I see it. Millward must've laid down the law to JT before signing him so I'd expect him to toe the line.

| Interesting comments by Basil in rugby league press today.
Apparently, Tansey kept calling him and the club and pestering for an opportunity. Millward also did his homework and spoke to several people including the RFL's Emma Rosewarne.
Sounds like Tansey is eager to make amends and Millward made it clear in the article that it was his last chance.
