Is it just round my way or does Leeds stink of rubbish. Our street is bin bag alley and full of flies. Won't be long before nature calls in our little four legged friends to help out with the garbage disposal.



The council wrote to us telling us the binmen are going on strike and they would ensure that disruption was kept to a minimum....I thought they'd get in some contractors or get off their fat management booties and start shifting bin bags themselves, but no they are sitting smugly on their savings by not paying the binmens wages, and looking forwards to their final salary pension schemes.



I couldn't give a toss about how disappointed the council are that the binmen have chosen to undertake this disruptive action in the face of the council's efficiency drive to make the service run better and save council tax payers money, at the end of the day they take our council tax to provide a service, if their own binmen aren't willing to do it then they better find a way to persuade them to or pay someone else to. Letting the rubbish build up in teh streets is just going to turn this city into the third world, before long people will start chucking it in parks, in the city centre, on the town hall steps etc

My mate has been taking away my rubbish on his lunch hour. No problems for moi.

Just do what I do, dump all your rubbish on your bedroom floor.
