I've thought for a few years the CoM would be an ideal venue. Right size and proximity to heartlands to get a (close to) capacity crowd. As long as ticket prices are similar to previous years I can see 45,000+ both days.

Easier to get to is a plus, removing the weekend away aspect seems to remove some of the point though. M'eh. I was hoping for the Ricoh. "Coventry Magic" could have been a big hit. It's a smaller ground, but seriously, who would want to go to Coventry for a weekend anyway? No problem.

Not spending a weekend in Manchester!! I think it's a good venue but I'll just be going for the Leeds day and coming home. Possibly just the Leeds match and coming home. |
