Yorkshire Radio have agreed a 12-month commentary deal with the Rugby Football League for engage Super league XIV.
This new deal means Yorkshire Radio will be able to broadcast full match commentary on one game per round featuring a Yorkshire team as part of a dedicated Rugby League Show on a Friday night between 7pm and 10pm or on a Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 6pm.
The weekly ‘Ruck N Roll Show’ will be hosted by Richard Stead with guest summarisers including Andy Raleigh, Gary Thornton, Ryan McGoldrick and Wayne Godwin. A weekend preview show is also broadcast on a Thursday evening at 6.00pm.
Ben Fry, station director of Yorkshire Radio, said “We are delighted to add engage Super League commentary to our sports portfolio alongside full match commentary on Leeds United and media partnerships with Yorkshire County Cricket Club and Go Racing In Yorkshire.
“Our intention is to expand engage Super League coverage in the region with our aim being to provide commentary on games not being covered by the BBC or Sky, therefore giving more exposure to Yorkshire’s Super League sides”
Paul Kimberley, Commercial Director RFL, said “We are pleased Yorkshire Radio have increased their engage Super League coverage for the new season and this further demonstrates the strength of the game in the region”
Yorkshire Radio is available on DAB Digital Radio, Sky channel 0209, and online at www.yorkshireradio.net. |

At last decent sports coverage. on Yorkshire Radio.
Currently they tend to concentrate an average-at-best Division 3 soccer club with possibly the 2nd rated history of greatness of all the teams in that division.

Be warned further then. Eats electricity.
You'll notice it's not got a proper plug on it, but one of those extra fat ones. Check it when you;re not using the DAB and you;ll find the plug is still warm.
I got a new DAB that sounds like your for Xmas. I use it as an Ipod docking station too, but I unplug it if I'm not using it. |
