Sorry Lunt you should go back to Fartown, Give McShane the hockers role and what about Liam Hood

Lunt started so well at Leeds but has since looked ordinary - a bit predictable and one paced. I have never been fully convinced with McShane but I do agree with you that he has earned another shot and has made a big effort to prove himself at Widnes.

His better games have all come against weaker opposition. To be fair not our only player by far not to have stood in more of the bigger games. For me his decision making on when scooting from dummy half, especially in the danger zone leaves alot to be desired. Even though he's crashed over for a few. Kills alot of better opportunities.

Now don't be saying that lads! Got to keep McShane surplus to your requirements so we might persuade him and the Club to allow him to be back at Widnes next year. Got to admit it doesn't look too likely, I didn't think Moore would last at Huddersfield, so it would seem logical for Lunt to go back (he doesn't seem too keen though, so a lot will depend on how keen you are to keep him). His contract is a major stumbling block no doubt, as is McShane's for us.



McShane of course may not fancy a repeat of his long haul trips down the 62! But we would gladly take him off your hands!

It may well come down to the fee. I can't see Gary paying a fee for a player of Lunt's calibre, when he has similar quality player on his books. If there is no fee, and McShanes face really doesn't fit then the move will happen I would guess

I agree with that point but think that can also be levelled at McShane.



I would still like McShane to be given a run of games to prove his worth.

I think McShanes game has alot more structure to it, he looks at developing play and has a neat kicking game. Also a much stronger tackler.



What you see is what you get with Lunt, can't see his game making major changes/development at this stage of his career. Whereas with McShane you can still the pin the 'potential' badge on him. His run of games and gametime at Widnes have highlighted his worth.

dont think he wants to though and id rather have players that want to play for the club.

Whatever happened to Hood's claims to be the best bet for the position ??
