It was the clubs and the coaches responsibility to offer something better to Elliott Whitehead. I'm sure there's plenty of players throughout Super League who want to play for a top four club but can't do for various reasons. I'm sure there's players who don't get on with coaches but they have a professional job to do so personal feelings get put aside. Most players go through a perceived dip in form at some point in their careers whoever the coach is. These reasons were not good enough to drop Elliott till he found a new club.



I'm sure if Cummins allowed Whitehead to play till he signed for another club then he would have given his last games for Bradford his best shot so he could make himself more attractive to a top four club.

Whatever other players would want is irrellevant when it comes down to being a decent pro and not having a sh## attitude.

Whiteheads form prior to his transfer request being made public was enough to warrant him getting dropped then to openly state he didn't want to be there and what we obviously now know not getting on with the coach also warrants him getting dropped.

The bottom paragraph doesn't apply because he'd already being under-performing and asked to leave!

Mate - don't rise to him. Damo has changed his provocative and usually contrary subject matter but his ultimate aim is still the same - to deliberately be controversial. I doubt he even believes half of the stuff he posts but does it to get a rise from the majority. Its a form of trolling, although I'll give him is due, he his far more subtle these days which hints towards a certain level of intelligence not usually found in someone with his employment attitude.

He wouldn't be alone in that!
