The frightening thing is they will be even stronger next season. Even Deacon looks a world beater in this team. Their success is built on a platform of discipline ( J. Tomkins excepted ). defence ( bending the rules to the limit ) and actually using the threequarters rather than relying on the scoot from the quick PTB which Leeds have mastered ...but now find restricted.

Either the rules have to be changed or other teams - Leeds included - have to scutinise the MaGuire methods to gain parity.... I can see Wigan dominating for a very long time unfortunately.

not so sure about that. They looked anything but world beaters in the 2 games against us and we're lacking alot of form and some spark out wide. we nearly put 2 over on them. They're well drilled and well disciplined I'll give you that. But lets not read too much into what they did against saints, who were their usual selves in finals.

For once I sided with them, but didn't take long before it was evident they didn't have the bottle to compete.

I don't disagree with anything you say and with McGuire in the team last week we might well have beaten them. Talking generally over the course of the season those well coached disciplined drilled in basics will be enhanced next season with more talent. That combination can only elevate them to even greater heights. Compare that with our still largely depleted talented players who are getting older (or are out injured long term) in conjunction with hopeless non-existent tactics / poor coaching.



At least Wigan will apparently struggle in the goal kicking department .... At least for the first part of the season. Maybe they will similarly suffer the poison chalice of the WCC too.

Maybe the rugby gods have punished them.
