As for the view, I started behind the posts in the West Stand, then moved to the seats in the North Stand, and graduated to the South Stand. I don't think I ever spent a whole game in the East Stand. Much prefer being side on to paly. The last time I stood in the West Stand (vs Wigan a long time ago when Edwards was playing) I couldn't understand how the heck people were apparently seeing 'offside' and 'forward pass' from there.

My preference given a choice is down the side.



However, I don't think there is a better view at any of our weekly club stadiums than behind the sticks in the upper of the Carnegie stand at Headingley.

All clubs must believe that a stand behind the sticks is the least favoured & least desirable place to stand otherwise why would they all allocate such a stand for the away fans?

However, like Gotcha, I much prefer my current seat in the Carnegies Stand to where I used to sit in the Paddock.

Likewise I have no issues personally with standing or preferably sitting behind the sticks at away games.

At least in most grounds these days the area "reserved" for away fans is in the same postcode as the rest of the stadium.



Those who visited The Boulevard will know what I mean.

KR is a bugger as its reserved seating and if theres a group of you its hard to sit near one another if you dont get tickets together.



That been said seeing "Sherlock" ambling around half cut was a highlight.
