Its funny to see the venom launched at Cockayne for expressing a pretty reasonable opinion (even if you disagree with it) and people using his previous misdemeanours as a stick to beat him with, but that venom was strangely missing when he actually committed those misdemeanours.
Anyway JP joins in with the criticising of this ty idea that was pointed out as ty before it was even implemented.

There was plenty of voices suggesting Cock-End's sentence didn't fit the crime given its brutality.
He is the typical aggressive small man - life has a strange way of righting some unpunished wrongs |

Without the harsh points penalty Salford would not even be in the middle 8s they accumulated sufficient wins in games played. |

this is spot on. rovers have put themselves in this position. they have home advantage against a side that is self destructing and, frankly, shambolic. no matter how much peacock,cockayne or whoever cries and moans, they lose and it's 100% their own doing |

Agree 100%. Every team has known the format from day 1 of the season. Not heard much from Salford interestingly. Wonder if KR are talking themselves into a fearful performance here?
The mentality should surely be that its a cup final a big event and a challenge not something to be scared of as KR seem to be giving out.
Certainly gonna be an interesting game. |

So Mr Peacock wants promotion , but no relegation ? , he wants the league to expand , did he have this opinion when he was playing , when it could have resulted in a reduction in his and other players wages ?

Im not going to defend Cockayne as a man or what he did, I'm no fan of him either as a player or person. However i dont see the relevance to what he said. |
