Merrin has been class mate imo always one of our best 8/10 most weeks he is an all action work horse who if he was in a top team would stand out as sensational; he is basically carrying our pack right now but he can't do it all himself.

I like Merrin for his quality and he puts a shift in every week. He gives penalties away most weeks which aren’t necessary though, and chips at refs. If he’s going to be captain next year he needs to tidy up IMO. I will say that at least he has some passion for it though.

I also think we won’t see the best of him without some pace and power in that pack, because he’s more of a binder and linker. With more quality around him he’ll have a great time because he has a good offload game and he can play a bit at Leeds.

Merrin gives plenty of penalties away but if you are constantly grafting the likelihood is your going to get caught more often.



Merrin has been fantastic in my opinion in a poor pack. Hes strong as an ox, grafts hard and makes 100+ metres every game. Absolutely sensational player. Let's hope he stays around, I think he will and gets a better team around him cos he would be even better then.

I'm sure Ava will find his feet soon enough too + support Merrin in carrying the forwards on their own.

He’s got a really bad attitude that lad, and nothing to back it up.

As you’ve said previously though, he is a decent goal kicker though. For whatever reasons successive coaches seem to pick him. Not sure I can see why.

I think that comes down to influences above unfortunately.

And fingers crossed Ward can stay fit for the rest of the season.....I know, I know, nobody needs to say anything.

Saints may rest a few for this one and roby is out anyway

Sutcliffe got injured so don't know if he's recovered from his eye injury but I'd only put him in 17 if Watkins isn't going to play with him joining Gold Coast in a couple of weeks.



Ferres just needs to stay away from the team as much as humanely possible.



We need a response this week after our relegation rivals KR and London picked up unlikely and big wins for them. It's a tough task to go over to Saints any year but when they've been red hot all year and we've been absolute turd all year I can't see us getting a vital 2 points we need, I just want to see 17 players who are fighting for this club and have passion for the badge and shirt sometimes that scores points or stops them in matches, the players need to show us something this week to show the club and it's fans they are up for this fight because we are in trouble and only they can pull us out of it.

They've got Hull followed by Wigan after Leeds so you never know.
