We were our own worst enemy and have been for a long while now. After last seasons heroics we have a squad that knows it can coast through the season and turn up for 3/4 games.



No dummy runs.

No set plays.

Over reliance on "off the cuff" rugby.

Players so woefully out of form it beggars belief.



TBH, we ran into a Wigan side brimming with confidence and fuelled by some cracking defensive and offensive plays.



Hats off to Wigan. They came with a plan and we fell for it hook, line and sinker.

theres so manny little problems with leeds at the moment its hard to find somewhere to start but they are all little problems massive changes are not required your a good team who on their day can beat anyone unfortunatley it wasnt your day today this game was just a blip and you seem to hit form when it counts at the business end of the season

The cracks have been appearing for a long, long time. Tonight was a wake up call. We may just have to get used to the fact that we're a mid table side for the next few years.

You guys are always very good at posting and trolling on other boards about how good the 'Mighty Wigan' are, but when Wigan were (which wasn't so very long ago, if you followed them then (which I doubt)) if anybody dared gloat and troll on the Wigan boards the threads would be locked instantly because you cannot take it.



If you can't take it, don't give it and p1ss off back to the Wigan board.

I think that may have been the worst performance I've seen from a Leeds team in over a decade. Not one posative from it, terrible, awful, dire... A total DISGRACE. This should be a wake up call (not that it should've been needed). This squad and coaching team needs SERIOUS change. No structure, no aggression, no desire, no game plan, no energy just awful.



Some say we're in transition, but where the f**k is the transition? Kylie, Webb, JP, JJB, Moore, Delaney, even Sinfield are still in the side week in week out despite average performances becoming more and more frequent. BJB (at FB), Chisholm, Ward, Singleton, Amor, even Ambler should have started being brought through by now with some of the older members of the side getting less game time. I don't think I know what the plan is when it comes to replacing some of our older players. Even though I do think we should have given some of the young players more game time I also think our recruitment has been poor. Huraki, Moore, and Griffin are not of the required standard for a team that wants to be challenging for honours.



However the biggest change that needs to happen is the coaching staff, more specifically McDermott and Lowes. Fair play to McDermott he helped Leeds win the SL title last year but the performances overall have not been consistantly poor. He seemed to be able to motivate the squad after the CC final last year, but now the players just don't seem to want to play for him. Apprantly he didn't say anything at half time, if thats the case then I'm shocked. He should've given then the hairdryer treatment. The complete lack of any structure in attack and defence. Wigan's attack was excellent but we seemed to stand off them and give them far too much space, then when we eventually do make tackles the technique is terrible and as a result we can't control the ruck. How often do Leeds mange to get the balll carrier on his back? And alternativly how often do we manage to gain a quick PTB ourselves? The lack of composure, kicking game and structure is big issue but the the failure to control the ruck on both sies of the ball is where most of our problems come from, and has been for a long time now.



Can you imagine Leeds's going into a game away from against one of the better sides in SL and getting a result with JJB, JP, Kylie and Bailey not playing? Wigan showed that if you have a structured side where everyone in that side knows how they fit within that structure and play with speed and aggression in attack and defense it doesn't matter if a few first teamers are missing.



Some may think I'm knee jerkering but I think a result like this has been on the cards for some time. Unless changes are made I really don't hold much hope for the rest of this season.

who does this keith swiftcorn support looked at his posts i still cant work it out but he seems to troll this board all the time but gives no indication to who he supports surely hes not a leeds fan although he seems to have an opinion on everything leeds

Old medal laden squad that believes it doesnt need to be coached + a coach who frankly can't coach at this level anyhow = a disaster

Weller Hauraki was woeful, slow, ineffective and poor in defence.

As were all of them to be fair. I think Kylie was the only Leeds forward who bothered to turn up.

As much as I like Bailey he really doesnt change things when the chips are down and JP's contract renewal looks a real reach right now.
