When McIlorum got sent off against Saints and I watched the replay I thought he may just get away with a 2 game ban as he'd already missed 65 mins of a big game via the red card but I could fully understand the 3 matches. Whilst McGuire's isn't as bad to say that the comments of anybody have led to a one game ban is bias in the extreme.

i believe that the 1 game ban was about right,but where the problem lies is in the consistency of the panel that adjudicates

paul wood got away with a blatant punch into abletts face at wembley and got away scott free.

so is that now the benchmark for this type of indiscretion?

i wouldn't bank on it as someone will get banned for the self same incident the next time it occurs
