Surely a "big club" like Wigan should own their own ground?



Perhaps they should stop spending so much on their massively superior to ours Junior set up and invest in their own digs?

I believe, according to their last year end financial statement, that a large portions of the capital expenditure was portioned to the acquisition of custom made flags.

I wonder if the RFL will ever introduce a rule about ground ownership and how that is a pre-requisite to getting a SL Franchise? Didn't the RFU do something similar about the Aviva Premiership?



It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall in the Wigan boardroom if the RFL ever had the balls to do it....

You could go for primacy of tenure, although I can't really see how that would be possible for teams who share with a football side, as I think both parties would need primacy. Which would be nonsense.
