An excellent point, well made.
So, in summary, there is a perceived problem with the Rhinos' recent results. This has been attributed to the coach's perceived failure to rotate talented, young players into the squad; this despite:
1. McDermott's inclusion of a number of talented, young players in the squad in recent weeks;
2. The disparity between the information regarding player selection available to a coach and that available to a spectator;
3. Any proposition that "if such-and-such a player had been included the outcome would be different" being untestable;
4. The existence of more compelling causality relating to present form i.e. injury to pivotal players.
Despite his track record of winning the biggest prize in the domestic game, based on this analysis McDermott is a poor coach.
Got it.
