Don't know if it has already been mentioned , but OVER ONE THIRD of the playing squad was selected from the team sitting 9th in the league and currently not even in a play-off spot . Classic McBanana ? We did win though , so regardless of how we are performing as a team , the national coach obviously values our individual talents higher than the majority of the elegible players currently above us in the weeklys . Sam was a huge influence on the game ...NOT . @overrated.com

BTW .. If , as expressed in the early commentary , McB did delect the strongest squad available to him , and the one most likely to represent at the big comp , then why was there no Burgesses or Gaz Ellis etc ?

Well Burrow and Jones-Buchanan should be reasonably fresh given their limited game time yesterday. Doesn't sound like those on Knights duty needed to overexert themselves either. Still wouldn't have asked any of them to back up personally.

Due to the fact of the England match we might be allowed the chance to make changes to the 19 for this particular game. I seem to remember a few players in the 19 announced for the Easter Monday match against London not being picked and a few extra players added come the actual match, i suspect that was allowed due to the short turn around in matches over that weekend.
