I don't know, currently for the wrong reasons Chase is a big name. If centre and half back are two possible areas of change for next year then the name tomorrow could be a centre?

Criticisms of our current halfbacks notwithstanding, aren't Sinfield, Burrow and McGuire all on longish contracts? Is it really likely that any of these will be replaced?

Chase should be released from Castleford if he is found guilty according to todays League Express.

What's he charged with? Going out on the lash or something altogether more serious?

takeover could drag on for a while yet

The announcement of the takeover is uncertain. However I'd have thought if the new player is signed and sealed then to announce sooner rather than later would be the best way forward before United hit the media.

The context of the AW quote would suggest an NRL player. All supposition, obviously.

If we sign Chase and the rumours are confirmed about RB possibly departing and he does ultimately leave then this coaching regime have gone even lower in my estimations and i'll be re-considering my ST situation.

Chase is the most over-rated 6 in RL at the moment and his (rumoured) conduct puts him up there with Tansey.

I'd rather see Olds at 7 and Mags/Ward at 6.

Chase would be a terrible signing. He's an average player for one educated in NZ/Aus, and has a shocking attitude. The things he's doing at Cas at the moment as all engineered to get away from the club, and something Leeds should have no part in.



The baggage he would come with in terms of attitude and the negative impact this would have on the dressing room means he's a complete non starter for me.
