Quote Clearwing="Clearwing"That depends on who you listen to. Frankly it seems to be a lottery as to whether someone's matchday experience is ruined by a p1ssed up idiot, regardless of whether it's CC or GF.'"
The CC is always a pish up
I also don't agree with this rubbish about Leeds fans, or Warrington fans, or Saints fans, etc. In my experience the trouble mainly flares from neutrals.
At the Challenge cup finals the neutrals always see it as their day rather than the finalists, and because of how great the rugby is the GF is also moving that way.
That fight in the east stand on Saturday, wasn't Leeds fans with Warrington, it was Wigan fans against Warrington.
In most other sports, finals are for the two teams involved. I'm not suggesting ban neutrals, that would be daft. But perhaps try and have RFL sold tickets around one area/stand, and the finalists in their own ends of the ground. Is that moving to segregation? who knows but it's better than the way it is going.
I should also add, I am using the word "nuetrals" here very loosly. Because seldom does a final occur with true neutrals. Especially in the case of Leeds, there is a clear jelousy from certain clubs fans that means whilst not a normal supporter of one club, they certainly become a supporter for that day.
