| Quote Ferdy="Ferdy"Out of that list cuthbertson singleton and JJB would be ahead of him. Ben cross mk II is garbage but will get played, mullally is average no better than baldwinson. Garrbutt isn't pulling up any trees on current form. Delaney is constantly injured'"
Garbutt had 132m on Friday and over 200+ vs Salford. In fact only 1 appearance of his 7 this year has he not made 100m+. Not many props in the league give you that and I think he's been harshly criticised this year for someone that's given us near-Peacock-level metres carrying the ball.

| I think the club are wary of throwing kids into the middle before they are physically ready.

| Not sure if you made it to Salford but Leeds forced five drop-outs and someone racked up plenty of easy metres - just as Peacock often did in similar circumstances.

| At least on Friday our players began to run towards the opposition defensive line instead of running in front of it.
Maybe that's the turning point.

One of the points made in commentary of the Carnegie game on Sunday was how often Sinfield straightens attacking plays and holds defenders before passing, creating time and space for those outside him. Something Burrow did much better out of dummy half than he's done when he has been playing 7.

I would agree with that and something Sutcliffe has yet to learn. On Sinfield I think he has settled in to Union really well and is bringing the best out of their attacking backs.

the best thing about the free union ticket was getting into the cricket. though kev still looked good enough to play for us the rare times they passed to him insead of kicking it away.
re other points in the thread , there were a few times when we were behind 3 or 4 were struggling to get back in the attacking line after hull had turned over the ball
macd had a long word in falloons ear just before the end of the match

Probably told him to bring a cushion to avoid getting splinters for the next few weeks
Burrow played well obviously, the wet slippery conditions seem to aid his style of play as we have seen at OT on many occasions. That said, i still see him as impact sub but feel this performance will nail down his place at hooker for the next month at least, is that a good thing? not imo.

| As Biff said Friday's Bon Jovi conditions really suit Burrow's style (clear MOTM performance) where he gets some joy when threatening the defensive line with pace and footwork. Let's all prey for a wet few weeks.
