Sal and I have vehemently disagreed on many many things on here. In fact we disagree on most things, usually.



But his comments about how turgid last Friday's game was I wholeheartedly agree with. Just a dreadful game of rugby league by two dreadful teams.



I can find positives. We won. We tackled hard in defence without being really tested. Singleton's hit on Carney almost made it worth watching the other putrid 79 mins and 59 seconds.



Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If they enjoyed that game, good for them. Sometime I find it satisfying to lay a really big turd. I guess that is analogous for what some took out of Friday's game.

G! Now I have to step in here. Opinions aside, I have quite a high pressure job, a long commute. I have 3 kids and the token nagging wife.



Having a $hit is something I look forward to. It's one of the few moments in life where I genuinely have a moment to myself!



A good $hit should never be underrated.

Me not paying out on a non-existent bet this year isn't hypocritical. Like I said earlier if there's another thread i've forgotten about where I agreed to a bet then please remind me by linking or quoting it.



I won the bet last season long before McGuire's "lucky break". The bet was that Leeds would finish top 4 and reach the semis. They'd finished in the top 4 before that game even kicked off.



I seldom criticise the club, what's the point? Apart from the odd Ian Kirke joke over the years I don't think i've ever really criticised any players either. You predicting Leeds would just miss out on the Grand Final this year whilst I wasn't even sure we'd make the top 4, after last year's predictions where I was closes again (by a long long way) says enough to me about who has a more balance opinion of the club.



So please stop making things up, it's just embarrassing now.

I find it funny when people keep saying we/McDermott were lucky simply because one of his player came up with a great play to win us a game.....you could say that about pretty much any coach who has won trophies. (How would Leeds/Tony Smith have fared from 3rd in 2007 had Jordan Tansey's Magic weekend try not been given?). Also don't notice anyone saying how we were unlucky not to have the LLS wrapped up before that game took place considering McGuire's 'obstruction' try at the DW vs Wigan was wrongly ruled out and cost us the game and a 4 point swing between us and Wigan.

Great viewing wasn't it? I think that hit is still echoing round Headingley now.



Massive contact. Carney rode it well. Kept driving and played the ball. Then spent the next 5 minutes trying to get back to his feet (he gave it about half a dozen attempts, then left the field aided by trainers etc. He came back on for the 2nd half). Tough old game.

Sal as you are the one alleging a bet was made I believe the onus is on you to provide proof as Loiner has shown evidence that your offer was refused. So a bit premature to start the name calling. Also the fact that he had to chase "you loads" last year to pay up is rather an admission on your part to a lack of enthusiasm to settle the bet.

Looks like he's moved on and is trying to pretend this thread doesn't exist.

Just pay up - you are a hypocrite and below contempt - a big man when it comes to showing off on here when suggesting I would welch on last year's bet but not so big when it comes to losing and shelling out. If you can't afford it just say so.
