Probably. I'm not one who lets tiny little issues like that get in the way of player recruitment

The whole reason he left Hull is to get back to Aus ASAP and sort his life out.

I think he has been released due to mental health problems. He attempted suicide recently. I imagine he and his family will be on their way back to Australia.

He plays with an orthopaedic boot for a chronic ankle condition (failed a medical to Huddersfield in the Summer).



His battle with depression is well documented as are his motoring and "refreshment" issues.

Not sure he is in the right frame of mind or physical condition to take any SL playing opportunity at the moment.



That said if might be worth a trial at the club on a play as you play. Stranger things can happen.

He certainly does not have a long term playing future. One last hurrah for the remainder

of the season to prove some things to himself before retiring? Can't say Saints have much to lose.



He seemed ok when I watched him last season, he kicked and directed traffic pretty well off one leg.

If you weren't aware of his difficulties then the post was hardly stupid. You're dead right about us being desperate for the club to sign a scrum half though! However, I think we're all living in dreamland if we think that will happen before next season.

Cheers mate, I had no idea. It's just gutting that we're in this position...that said, it's excellent seeing the the quality of the young lads who are coming through.

Still, better than Wilkin, Hohaia and Wellens.

We do need a scrum half but we are not this bad are we? I would be massively disappointed if we signed someone like Seymour. I'd rather sit it out or risk throwing Yates in before showing such lack of ambition. It would be the peak of bad recruitment.

Yates is injured for another 8 weeks isn't he?
