Of all the bizarre decisions that's gone against Saints in past ten years , or so, Ian Smith seems to be a the centre of most. The tries I've seen awarded this season by the video ref, and he goes and disallows two against us. I can accept the second one, but no way should the first have been chalked off.



I really think this fellow has a problem St.Helens. I can recount a catalogue of shocking, and some down right disgraceful, decisions given against us.

I mentioned that myself. He is the only referee that I ever considered to have an actual dislike for Saints, whilst others can be incompetent, I can't figure out any other way to justify Smith's actions over the years.

Eastmond scored, should have been a try. I would even go as far as saying that Lomax could possibly have been a try too. Give those and i can't see us losing from there.



Child was very poor too, but poor for both teams. The decisions at the end was the correct though, Lynch took Gaskell out.

In the end I'll accept the draw after todays other results.

An absolutely shocking decision this one. Benefit of the doubt? No. Benefit of the doubt to the non-St Helens side.

With Smith as VR there was no way the decisions were going our way.The guy is blatantly biased against us.

In the second half we wasted virtually every set in their 25 (and there weren't many) with sloppy play eg throwing passes 20 metres as if it was a dry day.Shame the weather was so bad as on a dry day I am sure we would have hammered them

Should the club formally complain? Seemed like Royce was steaming about it. Daniel Anderson would have slandered his whole family tree in the post match interview if he had been around for that.

i switched off when they said eastmond lost the ball with about 1.30 mins to go.

God knows why Cummings gave him a job as VR.



He was inept as a ref and is just the same now as a VR.
