| Either way we gain a bit of ground on those above and put some distance between us and those below. We are now within 3 of Warrington. Hard to believe isn't it.

| Quote SaintsFan="SaintsFan"Yep. It would have helped if our forwards hadn't been bullied off the park at times as well. Oh for some aggressive forwards who could make space for our halves to do their stuff instead of relying on the backs to do the work of the forwards.'"
I think it's games like tonight makes it stick out like a sore thumb that perry and Laffranchi struggle against big aggressive packs.
Perry for me is rubbish, he had a ok second spell and Laffranchi can cope with the less aggressive packs but when he comes up against a big pack he struggles, he's just a good backrow doing a ok job at prop.

| Quote SaintsFan="SaintsFan"I think he did fine given it was his first senior team 80 minutes since about February. He's lost out on a lot while kicking his heels in the u20s, learning that trade of his apparently.
He'll have to learn to play with Hohaia now as Lomax didn't look good at all.'"
I,m not too sure about that, Lomax is probably the more consistent of the 3. Like I said earlier bit of an akward game for Gaskell. I expected Lomax to take on the line and Gaskell to introduce 2nd Phase but it didn,t happen. Big Tony and Meli got us out of jail tonight.

Yet when the props were Perry & Laffanchi, we mullered HKR, building a 26-0 lead that had an awful lot to do with forward momentum. I though LMS had his worst game in while tonight, Clough & Flanagan were anonymous, and Flannery completely ineffective. Roby had a bit of a stinker by his standards, too.
Perry's first spell was very decent, whilst LaFrank was rock solid throughout.

| Is there no news on lomax yet didnt look to good for me the game changed once we changed the pack around flangan flannery lms and clough did not have anywhere near the impact tp laffranchi Perry and sia had once the four went off that's when the hull kr forwards got on top allowing Dobson and green to play gaskell played well for me when our forwards were on top after that he struggle like any half back would behind a pack getting batyered

Agree.Perry and Laffranchi were very good tonight and led us back into it in the last 10.The penalty Perry gained near the end was crucial and led to Laffranchi's try.

| Catalan and Warrington may actually put our destiny in our own hands. But it will be tough.

| Strange game tonight. The pack started the game on fire, we had almost all the ball for the first half hour. Puletua was unplayable, Perry was having a stormer, Gaskell's kicking was superb and Lomax was looking dangerous. Some of the moves in that first 30 were the Saints of old romping up the field. Then something just switched, suddenly Hull KR had all the ball and scored a couple of really soft tries. From the 30 minute mark to the 65 minute mark they absolutely destroyed us. Their pack was on top, their halves creating chances. When they hit the front I though it was over, no way back.
Jon Wilkin was my MOM tonight. There are a lot who criticise him for not stepping up when it matters, but I thought he was sensational tonight. He put in so many tackles, most of them very dominant. He was also superb with the ball and caused trouble with his kicking. He really stepped up the intensity with 20 to go and led the team home.
Is there any news on J-Lo? Looked a very serious injury given the way they took 15 minutes to walk him off the pitch, hopefully he won't be out too long.
