Hock is a loose cannon that i can not disagree with but wtf are we playing him at prop.

george nicholls...eric chisnall and kevin ward would have flattened hock if he had been playing in those times!

Hock won't have regrets, he's not clever enough to have regrets. He never learns, it's never his fault and he won't see his career as a waste in the slightest yet everyone knows how wrong he is. He's the most naturally gifted forward I've ever seen at Wigan yet it's all been thrown away.



I would say the only real positive of his career has been that it's kept him just about on the straight and narrow in his life because he seems the type that if he hadn't had rugby league he'd probably be getting free bed and board at her majesty's pleasure more often then not.

Apart from a couple of promising seasons his done nothing really. His one of them players who people think look good on the eye but in reality his doing nothing. Like rogues says 'he was giving it Saints in the first 20'. 5 hit ups for a fantastic 17 metres. He'll pull a couple of worldie off loads out the bag 5 times a season but people forgot the 5 a game that he either knocks on or passes to the opposition. Take away his 3rd man tackles and his tackling stats would be a disgrace aswel. A Myth.

In all the biff it's easy to forget what a cerebral game RL is. When Hock first came on the scene it seemed to me that he had the physical attributes needed to make a significant player, but lacked much game sense. I don't think he's developed this very much over his years in the game. On the credit side, he's done well to come through his ban to play again; getting over the problems he had is an achievement not to be sniffed at, whatever we think of him as a player.

I can't believe he's still playing the game, he's every bit as idiotic and plays with as much blatant disregard for players as his idol Turry. As mentioned on the thread previously it is his life after he retires that worries me the most. On one hand I hope he leaves the game as quickly as possible as he's a ticking timebomb and it's not fair that he's allowed to end the career of another player. But on the other looking at his behaviour on the field and on twitter, one has to worry what that will lead to.
