Probably similar to McDonnell, but the unknown is we don't know how long its going to last. He could get injured in training.

I'd say he's quicker than McDonnell. He is no Darren Albert but I doubt too many will be able to catch him should he get through the line.

The ability to back up is an often underestimated skill, and an area where we are lacking massively.

In the Leeds debacle we made a couple of breaks in the second half but nobody was within 20 yards. Even early in the season when we was flying I remember Vea making a few 60m runs with no support.

With the lack of pace at 6 and 7 we need a fullback who is going to be on the shoulder - and Quinlan certainly looks that type

McDonnell could shift. Perhaps Quinlan is quicker over the first 20 but I'd bet on McDonnell winning a foot race over the distance.

No doubt he'll be faster than Lomax after 2 knee reconstructions either way. McDonnell might lose half a yard too

Quinlan looks like an Escare type running to me. Will be one of the quickest in the league over the first 20/30 but may get run down over long distances.

Seem to remember McDonnell getting chased down a few weeks back before passing to Swift to score and after he looked like he needed oxygen.

I seen Jonmy lomax out and about yesterday. I asked him what Quinlan is like and he said very quick.



He also said despite infection in his knee, he is well ahead of schedule in his rehab. He said he's about 3 month ahead of schedule.
