I think that there's a throw with the Walsh one de does not just let go and that's what git him the ban. At first I watched it and it looks like he realises he's going to take him over the horizontal n shoves him to the ground it's not a massive throw but there's a movement there that's clear to see

I don't think Walsh's tackle was the greatest ever but agree that the sentencing is unbelievable.If you watched our game against Catalans last night you would see Dave Taylor spear tackle for at least the third time this season and once again no action taken, apart from awarding us a penalty. There needs to be a real shake up in the disciplinary system and proper punishments handed out to serial offenders before someone is seriously injured, or even worse. I've not seen the incident so cannot comment on whether I think it deserved anything or not. What I don't understand is that if St Helens felt either the 2 matches was harsh or it didn't deserve a ban why don't you appeal. Being realistic if they've handed to a 2 match ban it is unlikely to be reduced to 0 if successful with the appeal but it could be reduced to 1 meaning he is available for the next game.

Our chairman explains it in the link mate. The hearing should have been on Wednesday but through the fault of the RFL, it got delayed until yesterday (Thursday). The coach had to prepare the players he definitely had for the following evening instead of faffing around and the players themselves doing a 5 hour round trip.



The RFL are amateurs. It's ran like the Phoenix Club.

Cunningham can prepare the available players. If you work on the premise that Walsh and Thompson were not available for the Wigan game, even if the appeal was successful and the bans reduced to zero you could have run with the same team but the players are then available for the next match. As I said if St Helens believed the bans were unjust and they had a case I don't understand not appealing.

The chaos spilled over to the game against the goons. they were pretty ordinary and we were completely p$$s poor. We looked like the team from 2-3 months ago; confidence shot, no clue in attack, straight down the middle, no offloads etc etc.

we deserved to get soundly beaten and I can't pick out individuals as we were c$ap throughout the team.



I shudder to think about what will happen to us against hull. I put this partially down to throwing our toys out of the pram by not appealing.

The players finished training at around 12 noon on Thursday so they could have gone to Leeds for an appeal if desired. I'm not even sure if the players have to be there, so Mike Rush could have attended, as he did on Wednesday, or Saints could have requested a video call as Catalan do.



Basically it's more McManus smoke and mirrors, like his financial statements over the last two years.

All I said was we should have appealed but decided not to follow it through and then put out an angry statement in what looks like a fit of pique.

Both were really bad decisions in my view.

With regards to McManus's financial statements, if you want to get into a discussion about how a lot worse wigan's financial situation is than St Helen's then please let me know - I have both sets of accounts and I am a banker (spelled with a B and not a W).

Just as an opener; guess which club is which? - one has very large net assets and is not reliant on the directors' support and the other is insolvent and relies on a certain Mr Ian Lenagan of Oxfordshire to keep lending it money to stay afloat.

Guess also which club laughingly still treats player's contracts as "assets" ?
