| Brian you're such a tool, half the players missing for you played in the reserves!
The answer to the question is in fact NONE! No other teams have had to cope with 7-8 players all out for the majority of the season, in the last two months it's been two out, two in etc.
Yes injuries are part and parcel of the game for which we've endured the most hence the game time the likes of Ashurst, Dixon, and now Magennis are getting. I put the likes of Dean in that list because with Sia and Gidley injured a Dean or Wheeler would play. We went to Wire without a centre, and still won.
Incidentally IMO, Lomax has shown enough to play ahead of Gardner and Wheeler would start also but has been held back by injuries.
1. Wellens
2. Lomax
3. Gidley
4. Wheeler
5. Meli
6. Pryce
7. Eastmond
8. Graham
9. Cunningham
10. Hargreaves
11. Soliola
12. Puletua
13. Wilkin
Roby
Faasavalu
Clough
Flannery
Nb Fozzard is injured, didn't play in the reserves yesterday afternoon, I watched it. Dixon did and wasn't in my list. Hard to take RG a win of that quality with so many ommisions, but show some class, envy is an ugly thing

| Only Phelps and Roberts played in the reserves, both playing their first games back after injury (Phelps went off injured again)
Wigan had three U20 qualified players in the pack on Friday.
Fozzard played in the Saints reserves at Wakefield last week.
Saints have only used one more player than Wigan this season, and there are teams who have worse injury situations than either of us.
BTW what was the result of the U20's game?

That's a good result for Saints and will probably mean they finish second to Wire in the league, with Wigan finishing third.

The fact you could play phelps and amos in the reserves shows you have a pretty healthy squad at the moment, the likes of wilkin, kc and other guys returning from injury have to play straight in 1st team as we have a number of injuries.
That silly list that shows howmany players all the teams have used don't show anything, some of them players the list says have played might have played once, some teams might have rested 4 players and gave 4 kids a run out, them 4 kids then count on the played list but might have played only one game.
Lets see a list of how many times players have played for the 1st team.
Il tell you know without boring myself looking thru a list, wheeler, eastmond, sia, wilkin, maurie, kc, wello have missed a large number of games this year.

| We won, in the end quite convincingly I think 18-26, with wire getting a try in last minute. Kevin Penny played for Wire, he looks like a lost sole in desperate need for a new club and sone direction.
For Saints, Frodsham impressed me in the pack, Dixon albeit stayed on the park took a bang in the ribs and struggled a touch second half. Gaskell showed glimpses of real quality, but the most impressive was our hooker, not sure if it was Ashall or Ashe?? but was excellent in defence, some quality scoots and an excellent try second half following up a little run and his own grubber kick.
I don't doubt we've used a similar number of players RG, what I do dispute is your claim our injury situation this year isn't any different from any other club. I know of no other side that has ran the majority of the season with 7-8 players out week in week out.
To go to Warrington without any recognised centres in addition to others such as Maurie, Kyle etc is some effort.

So was Kevin Penny looking like a flatfish or the bottom of a shoe ?? ...or perhaps you actaully meant 'soul'.
I'm a Leeds fan but can actually concede our time at the top may becoming to an end ..the present first team have been a major force that is slowly being superseded by the likes of Saints (and Wigan) largely because of their superior junior ranks 'feeding' the first team gradually.....or even quickly in the case of Saints. We have some good young uns who will start pushing for first team action next season (Ben Jones Bishop; Watkins; McShane and Ambler as well as Clarkson, who already commands his place) but not nearly enough. Half back in particular worries me at Leeds: McGuire and Burrow can't last forever. Saints have certainly handled their similar major injury crisis to Leeds this season better. Wigan have had nothing like the same problems despite the protestations on here.
As far as the rest of the season is concerned...we have the hoodoo over you in the GF and vice versa in the CC....maybe we can 'swap' this season ?? .
