| I would just like to say thankyou, even if only for the second half comeback against Wigan.
You orchestrated some of the best half back play seen in Super League last season.
It's just a shame that things didn't work out.

| I wouldn't like to thank him. I'd like to tell him to go f*** himself for leaving us in the lurch.

For the dishonourable and dishonest way he has seemingly conducted himself, with all the serious consequences for the club that it looks to have caused, I am quite happy to advise him he can go rot.

| I fail to see the need for the OTT personal responses, similar to a section of Leeds fans when it was disclosed that Eastwood was leaving. From a fan's perspective it is only a game - but for the players a livelihood.
Ultimately it is a short playing career and the players shouldn't be criticised for doing what they think is best to be happy (even if that includes reneging on contracts). Surely it is a fault of the contract system (and the role of player agents) - that perhaps clubs and the game need to tighten up on - rather than blaming the player himself for exploring all available options. If more clubs took a zero tolerance approach to this sort of behaviour it would be soon stamped out. Sadly, there will always be clubs prepared to bend the rules to accommodate quality players.
Why is it that leaving contracts in the non-sporting world is much less of an issue? The last time I was working under a fixed term contract I certainly didn't hesitate in exploring other employment options and indeed left with most of the contract to go. Why should players be treated differently?

| I'm not a big fan of Matt Orford.
I'm not a big fan of Bradford.
I'm not a big fan of Canberra.
But the Ox was a good player for you. Now you are all bagging him out?
Why?
The fact is... Orford is an Aussie. He loves Australia. He wants to live in Australia.
I don't know what bradford is like... but no offence... from what I've seen of it on telly I think I'd sooner live in Canberra too

Then he shouldn't have signed a 3 year contract.

Perhaps not.
But if someone waved the amount of money he was on under your nose I'm sure you would have taken it too.
Orford is not getting any younger, he served Bradford pretty well, he wants to go home.
Life goes on.
He hasn't killed anyone has he?

| I'm dissapointed Ox is leaving like this, I'd like to thank him for showing us his undoubted skills as a proper half back the like of which we haven't seen at Odsal for many years
I'd also like him to take some time and have a good long think about the next time he makes an agreement as to whether or not he's made the right descision
Thanls Matt......Thanks a bunch

I would have taken the money, yes. I would also honoured the agreement I made. Just as I would have expected the company I agreed it with to honour it.
Would Orford have been happy if he'd really wanted to stay, but the club just told him after a year that they didn't want him any more and didn't want to pay him the money they'd agreed to? Of course not. And it's no different either way round.
He hasn't honoured the agreement. He's taken his ball home and told his mummy he doesn't want to play with them boys anymore.
