I have also been unimpressed with Gale. As he's been injured and missed pre-season, i'm prepared to let him get up to speed, but I agree that his decision making has been poor so far. We never seem like a team that will spread the play to the wings, mainly because we seem to favour the crash ball.
During the Leeds game, I was thinking we would have been better with Addy in the halves, that probably gives a reflection of how I thought Gale was playing.

I would expect though that Gale, and the attack, plays they way he and they are told to play by the coach, in any given game. Also non-fans of Gale seem to overlook that he was injured playing for England B. Or maybe that leaves them the next numpty option of saying it was only McNamara who picked him, what does he know

- anyway the point being that he has been highly rated (and I am not saying rated to be top class, please note - he would have a ways to go to get anywhere near the tope echelon of halfbacks but that isn't the issue here). When we signe dhim he was London's top scorer and most would agree best player. Which mug signed this dud, then? Oh yes, the mug Mick Potter. Obviously he was as fooled as the England selectors last season. Potter was quoted as saying:
Quote daveyz999"He can run the team around the park, has a great kicking game and will be a great addition to our squad."'"
I think that is an opinion that qualifies for a whole lot of respect and value it much more than yours, tbf.
Also Gale started off in the Leeds Academy, who are not noted for signing no-hopers. Then he was NL2 Young Player of the Year in 2008. Yes it was NL2, but that is rated top out of a hell of a lot of players, and at age 19. So, to sum it up, some very good judges have consistently rated Gale very highly at all levels and I think they are right to do so, and his record and performances all consistently back that up. Lastly I would remind you that Gale was one of the squad that performed so heroically for Potter in 2012, he played 19 games that season and was MotM in 4 of them.
