Think Kear is a big blow as we have to put up with pryce. Diskin is a huge blow. O'Brien has rave reviews, but you can't beat experience and i though Diskin was superb until he went off. Walker didn't play too badly either, he looked bang up for it, but won't be a miss as he hasn't played much. Kopczak is another big blow.

This season is something else. If we did make the play-offs it would be nothing short of a miracle.

Chance for O'Brien but I feel we are a better side with Diskin on than Heath, will be interesting to see how Heath goes starting again.



Walker and Kear must feel very unlucky. Chev won't get a new contract, really feel for him.

is the cover there for any other injuries that may arise. People have mentioned direct replacements using the other squad members but beyond that the cupboard is bare. I dont suppose it is something we could stretch to given our financial predicament to maybe a possibility of a loan signing or two or maybe a recently retired centre/back-row who is looking for a side and could cover purtell and the back-row if elima or langley play prop

To be honest I am not too bothered if we miss out on the playoffs again with all these injuries. All im hoping for now is a good few wins even if we end up in 9th

Financial consequences of missing out on the play-offs are severe.

Who has the right to say we can't sign anyone? I don't recall any announcement saying we are in "special measures". We have not had an external audit by the RFL have we? So we have put ourselves into "special measures"have we?

It is a bit strange, isn't it. I understand it to be the case as I've read it, but I don't really understand why, as far as I know, due to the pledge we are, subject to anything coming up in the ongoing (totally internal) audit, debt free.

It was confirmed we, along with Salford, are in special measures in t&a article with rfl chap. Monday last week from memory. Think special measures are automatic if a club is late with any payments to hmrc, even if late payment is pre agreed.
