That unfair on Sheriffe IMO his finishing isn't there but he makes a lot of ground on the first or second drive last night, This is invaluable as it saves the forwards for shirley bashing.

When he gets abuse for walking onto the field etc I do often shout loudly that "he's done nowt wrong". Trouble is he often makes up for it minutes later!



Joking apart he gets dogs abuse for mistakes that are seemingly allowed for other players.

I agree with that. If Sam or Menzies knock on they get Unlucky etc. When Platt knocks on it's "What's that idiot doing on the pitch"

If Sheriffe made as many meters forward as he does sideways he would be the best winger in super league, unfortunately he doesnt.

At least two of those sideways runs were part of setting up tries last night.

Did you ever have a problem when Robbie Paul, Leon Pryce or Vainikolo did that to create opportunities?

Yup.



I'm no fan of Sheriffe. In fact, I don't think he's nearly good enough. But I don't get criticising him for things that helped set up tries last night. Two of those sideways runs resulted in the ball coming in off the touchline and being switched to the left side for tries.



While I agree he sometimes does it a bit too much, I don't think it's right to criticise if last night when it clearly worked.





Right up there with criticising Platt for missing a tackle when he made some very good ones and had an all round very good game.

Not at all they are both rubbish, both didnt do much wrong last nite but they are still not very good, and always will be average players.

tevita vaikona was also very good at sidewards running to get the defence more broken.

Its all the great Iestyn Harris did at Leeds

and Stuart Spruce and Mickey Withers.



Ricky isn`t a Vaikona or a Vainikolo but he`s busting a gut to be the best Sheriffe he can be. He`s a much better player than the one who started the season which shows he`s putting the effort in, and on that basis he deserves our support imo.
