| Good shout re Nathan Graham, honest pro, good utility value and unfairly blamed for Wembley 96, probably on for MoM until 'those bombs' went up and at this point he received no help from his team mates

| I didn't say it was founded criticism, but he got some right stick from a fair few fans. In the '96 final I agree that Goulding's bombs were absolutely inch perfect and to say Graham had little protection from his team mates was an understatement.

| Person I blame for not responding to the "bombs" in the 96 cup final was Brian Smith (the coach) everyone in the ground could see the what was happening after the second bomb. The one person who could do something was Smith he did nothing until the fourth bomb, then it was to late.
Remember we had an ex internal full back in the team, who could have been move to F/B to counter the bomb tactics

I thought that the rest of the team was at fault in part for not giving Graham the protection he needed to catch the ball. On each occasion the Saints chasers had a free run toward him and thus had the momentum to leap higher and contest the ball in the air. If some of our defenders had got in the way of those runners legally or even done a "Keith Senior" Graham would've had the time and the space to diffuse the bombs safely.

Seems fair enough to me, what did he say?

You're probably right although he's not the first player it's happened to and he certainly won't be the last. To be honest, it's not great when a player is singled out for abuse in this way - even as a Leeds fan, I feel quite sorry for the amount of flak that Meli's taken from Sts fans for example.

I do remember giving Harkin the bird when Northern beat Leeds in the YC shortly after his move but his subsequent performances for the Loiners meant they suffered more than us!
As for Kelvin I don't remember him getting much abuse? Wouldn't that be extremely dangerous anyway?

| Agent Harkin barely registered a scratch compared to the damage Agent Harris did when we sent him the other way.
Anyway, back to Sculthorpe, why does anyone think this latest "last chance to unleash his potential" will be any different to the dozen or so last chances he's enjoyed on his trip around the league.
Talented player, terrible attitude and will be a waste of cap space.

| Kears comment in the Wakey Express today when asked to comment on Sculthorpe, "I am over-21 and I left the playground a long time ago"
That's all he said, that is how you handle yourself with dignity. Learn Mr Sculthorpe.
In reply to those who compare Sculthorpe to Newton. I get the point however Newton has for the best part of his career fulfilled his potential. Can they seriously be compared The same cannot be said of Sculthorpe. Although Newtons attitude has not always been first rate and because of that I reserve judgement. He has none the less been a far better player throughout his career that Sculthorpe and is a model of consistency and professionalism by comparison.
We may be getting Newton past his best but that is still light years ahead of Sculthorpe. What makes people think that this mystical potential hidden in the ageing and unfit Sculthorpe can be found is a mystery to me. Even if he were a great player and he isn't the only way is down at his age, surely.
Finally if this magic exist in Sculthorpe then do you really think McNamara is the coach to find it? Even more unlikely when you consider the best coach in SL at resurrecting bad boys seems to have failed!
Don't kid yourselves, Hudds got shut of Sculthorpe, if they had really wanted him they'd have kept him.
Best of luck, you will need it.
PS: Rest of your team looks decent enough without being an obvious top 4 side.
