That WAS what you were implying, wasn't it, when you said they "gave us the points" and for which we should be "grateful"? Sounds a bit libelous to me, but I'm sure you know what you are doing, and can give Site Admin suitable assurances as to the veracity of your information.

Because a key element in the decision making process is that 'we get more fans than you'. In terms of history, support, profile and contribution to the comp we're more important than you. This isn't me saying this - it's Eamon McManus and all those Giants fans that didn't buy a ticket to the semi-final of the CC.

No Adeybull that was not what I was implying at all. I would never accuse any professional sports players of deliberatley throwing a game. What I was implying was that the Giants played so badley that they gave the Bulls the points. Does that clear it up for you? Which still leaves the question as to why you think Ken Davy backing the Giants is any different to what you want someone to do for you. I would like to think that if Ken Davy did pull the plug on Giants he wouldn't dump them with 1.5 mill debt unpaid players and unpaid tax.

I'm sure "Sir Ken" wouldn't do that, he seems like a nice chap. But if he did pull out, a couple of years after he had gone, based on the crowds you pull, minus the wages and other overheads you would be up to your neck in the brown stuff in a very similar situation to us.

Would the RFL pay the players' bonuses?

Doesn't advancement in the play-offs trigger higher prize monies to the club? If so, I guess that would cover it.

I know the monies paid for winning the comp, can be given to the players as a bonus, and it also doesn't count towards the cap.....

Unless the player's contracts specify how much comes to them as a "win bonus".

I'm not thinking about the money going to the players as a bonus, more along the lines that it's income for the club and they could then afford to pay the wages anyway. They could have an incentive bonus in their contracts though..
