Part of me would love to hear it was some billionaire sheikh who has suddenly found a passion for Rugby League and happened to share a few coca colas with Rohan Smith on his jollies last year.

We already know it's not a new player. And to be quite honest, none of the previous potential investors filled me with any confidence whatsoever, with the exception of perhaps the Texan oil guy.

The question is who is paying them? Because either way the money is coming out of the RFL's account. Plan A is Mark Green puts the correct amount into the RFL account, who then pay the players. Plan B, not mentioned anywhere, but going on what happened in 2014 & 2012, Plan B is the RFL will just pay everyone and then decisions will be made over the weekend.

I'm not sure I'd mind so much if it turned out to be the ex City guys. They seemed to do a decent job of running City, and then offloaded it when they realised they couldn't fund it as much as it needed any more. However you worry a little that it was mainly because the fella was a big City fan. Would he have the same desire to run a club he doesn't have as much affection for?



Other than that, Mrs Koukash (essentially a front for the Doc himself, who presumably isn't allowed to own two clubs or something along those lines) is the next best option. The family may be bat sh*t crazy, but at least they actually have some money. Things might become a bit of a circus, but at least we might not have WUPs popping up every few months.



If it's Lamb again, I despair. The bloke came across as nothing but talk and I don't think he's a better option than what we have already.



If it's any combination of Mark Moore, Ryan Whitcut, Omar Khan etc., they can count me out completely.

Hmm, funny, but also brings back a bit of anger because the RFL already bought our family silver ( the lease) for a song 4years ago when we were in a similar distressed state just to cover the secret loan they had made to us and suddenly found themselves exposed. That still annoys me, even now
