Quote Steel City Bull="Steel City Bull"“The big thing is the special measures. I think that’s the reason the directors have done what they’ve done.
Got to say, that was always my original take on the matter. MM was quoted as saying that the 6 point deduction would virtually guarantee relegation but it was coupled to the special measures that would be the 'guarantee' of the drop.
Unable to make any signings other than short term loan deals, it would only take a few injuries to lead us to be unable to put out any sort of competitive team. In short, no permanent signings, so no Visa's (as mentioned), leaving us no chance basically! Without doubt the 'special measures' was the ball-breaker.'"
Congratulations to you and Adey , from the first time I read the articles and statements from MM and latterley FC I realised the implications for the 3 who were attempting to resurrect the Bulls, what would that stigma have done for their personal business creditability? In effect the RFL hierarchy were applying the same principle they said when they came out in the press to say RW was not a fit and proper person! Whether he was or wasn't makes no difference.
But in the position that they and us (Bulls) find ourselves in would you trust them to remove the "special measures" even if the investment was coming from the previous board??? Personally given the appalling record of the people at the hub in the RFL, I wouldn't trust anything anymore.
In finishing just see the actual reason for them walking away, you might say that they did it, to give the club at least a fighting chance to stave off relegation??

"It was at that point the directors were told the Bulls would be placed in ‘special measures’, preventing the club from making any new signings, if Bradford Bulls 2014 had followed through its bid to buy the club."

That's a pretty conclusive statement from the ruling body, is it not?
